Introducing The Wilson College Pen Pal Program

Introducing The Wilson College Pen Pal Program

At a time when it has been challenging to connect with family and friends in person, many of us have been staying in touch via technology. While it is not the same as getting hugs or chatting over a meal, we still appreciate having the ability to share. But what if you don’t have the technology or prefer a different way to connect with people? The new Wilson Pen Pal Program may be the answer!

The Alumni Relations Office, in partnership with the Alumnae Association of Wilson College, can link you with another Wilson alum.

Similar to our long-standing tradition of the Aunt Sarah and Uncle Wilson Program that connects students with alums, the WC Pen Pals will be in contact through letters, phone calls, or an occasional small package to brighten each other’s day. The hope is that these pairings will continue sharing their Wilson stories, life interests, and personal connections and share the warmth of belonging to the extended Wilson College community.

If you’re interested in being a Pen Pal, complete the Pen Pal Request Form, and staff will pair each person with another Wilson alum. We recently sent a hard copy of the form to alums over the age of 85 without email. If you would like to participate, please fill out the online response form at wilson.edu/penpals or call us at the number listed below.

You will receive follow-up information from office staff regarding your pairing.

We hope this is the beginning of a special connection to those with shared life journeys at Wilson College. We always look forward to hearing from our alums, near and far. If you need any assistance, please contact Alumni Relations at 717-262-2010.
