AAWC President’s Letter – Spring 2022

AAWC President’s Letter – Spring 2022

Save the date, June 2-5, 2022, for One Grand Reunion!

Since we’ve had to cancel two prior in-person reunions because of the pandemic, we will have three cycles of classes joining together to celebrate Wilson, making this an event not to miss. There’s much on campus you’ll find so familiar, and much you’ll find new and exciting, and the beauty is, it’s all our Wilson.

Much work has gone into creating a weekend that will give you many opportunities to experience Wilson as she is today. Plus, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the companionship of your classmates and reminisce about your time as a student here. Please enjoy visiting and refreshing your connection to Wilson College. Make your plans to join us now. You should have received a brochure in the mail; the schedule is also available online at wilson.edu/reunion.

As you know, Wilson got a new president, Wesley R. Fugate, right before everything shut down because of the pandemic. Wes has done yeoman’s work at finding ways to meet alums even though traditional large-scale gatherings have not been possible for much of his tenure. You’ve probably seen him on one of his Zoom Town Halls, and if you have not already had the chance to attend one of his in-person gatherings as he’s finally been able to take to the road, please look for one near you and make plans to be there.

Wilson needs our support now more than ever. Come back to campus to renew your connection to Wilson, but please also recommit to supporting Wilson as she moves into her second 150 years. I look forward to seeing you in Chambersburg in June!

Lynne E. DiStasio ’74 President
